Wedding on wheels

The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), a subsidiary of Indian Railways, launched a brand new service that would offer many couples a unique wedding – Wedding on Wheels. It is letting couples hold their weddings aboard luxury trains.

Many couples in India look for lavish and/or unique wedding locations. Here is something new and lavish these couples can try. IRCTC decided to let these couples find a nice unique experience for their special day.

The facility offers wedding experiences with five star facilities, luxurious interiors, and top notch food aboard luxury or semi-luxury trains. All of this would be combined as the train moves through beautiful Indian country sides.

The Maharaja express operated by IRCTC is one of the most luxurious trains in the world. It offers an 8 day tour covering the palaces and forts of Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, Jaipur, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Udaipur, and Balasinor.

There are also several other luxury trains under Indian Railways and several state tourism boards like Palace on Wheels, Deccan Odyssey, Golden Chariot, and Royal Rajasthan on Wheels. All of these trains would be available to host weddings.

IRCT is also offering several different wedding packages for this purpose. Couples or wedding planners can chose what fits them best. There can select luxury or semi-luxury coaches, travel circuits, food, number of guests, and decorations. For those looking for real luxury, there are also Spas and saunas. The cost for the wedding depends on the facilities used.

According to an official statement, the wedding here would be similar to pretty everything one would expect at a wedding in a hotel or resort. There would be the best of everything offered in these packages says the official. Any couple looking for something memorable along with their families should opt for this added the official.
