Sachin Dev Duggal, an Indian origin entrepreneur who is based in San Francisco has launched a new photo sharing app globally. The app is called Shoto and it is set to revolutionize photo sharing system.

Users can find out how many photos were taken with friends or relatives using Shoto. The app gives information about photos taken in times spent together and simply lets users share photos and make personal or public albums.

The data about photos is collected from the phone and the user is asked if he or she desires to share the photos. This option helps in taking care of the privacy issue.

Android and iPhone users can download the app from the Google Play Store and the App Store. Users from over hundred and twenty countries can download the app. It also has local language support.

Some of the languages supported in the app are are Hindi, Spanish, French and Mandarin. Shoto was in beta mode until Friday. It cost the founder $1.2 mn in development. The app was founded in 2013 with the aim to solve the problems related to sharing photos.

The app company additionally got funding of $1.5 mn from investors like Real Ventures and Kunal Nayyar, the Indian-origin actor of popular TV series “The big bang Theory”.
