government is now setting up this project as India’s first ever bullet train.

This wonderful project will consist of a never before seen construction in India with an underwater route of 7-km length. The railways are now performing analysis on the soil to plan out how to construct such a track.

The route will be between Mumbai-Ahmedabad.

The bullet train is being imported from Japan. It is the famous high-speed Shinkansen. PM Modi personally saw what this train can do when he visited Japan in 2016.

Such an advanced bullet train is coming to India as part of a Memorandum of Understanding between Japan and India.

The train route will connect Mumbai and Ahmedabad. It is usually a seven-hour journey to travel this route but the bullet train reduces it to just about two hours

The underwater track will be constructed after the Thane Creek on the way to Virar.

According to officials from Railway Ministry, the soil and rocks are there are being tested as part of the geo-technical and geo-physical investigation.

Technicians are testing rocks below the 70 meter deep sea.

In this, Thane to Virar will be connected by a 21-km underground tunnel as well. The officials say that the underwater stretch will be near the Thane Creek.

India imported the Shinkansen bullet train which is one of the fastest trains of Japan.

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is conducting the survey required for building this state of the art train route. They are also funding the project by giving a loan.

It is expected that the railway corridor will be started in the year 2018 and finished by 2023.
