Anupam Kher: Article 370 should be abolished | Fusion - WeRIndia

Anupam Kher, the well known Bollywood actor and Kashmiri Pandit has stated on April 12 that he personally believes that Article 370 should be abolished. The 60 year old actor has stated during a press conference that everyone knows Kasmiri Pandits have been out of their homes for 25 years now.

He stated that it made them a refugee in their own country because and that they are thrown out of their own house. He added that it has been 25 years for the government to finally come with a plan of resettling Kashmiri Pandits. He stated that the moment this was announced there have been major agitations which started in Kashmir. He stated that there has been no killing happening since no Kashmiri Hindu has lifted a gun and shot someone.

Kher said that this was not an issue of Hindu-Muslim but it was about Kashmiri Pandits wanting a separate place for themselves. He questioned how it is not possible for some separatist to tell people or a mob to go kill Kashmiri Pandits again after they started living in those areas again.

The press conference was conducted by the Roots in Kashmir group which was working for the cause of the migrant community.
