PM’s wife survives car crash

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s estranged wife Jashodaben was injured in a car accident in Rajasthan yesterday.

It was a major road accident in which the SUV was damaged severely.

The accident took place on Kota-Chittorgarh highway. Jashodaben was travelling in an Innova car along with seven other people including her body guard and driver.

She attended an event in Chittorgarh and was returning to Gujarat. At that time, her SUV collided with a truck in a massive crash.

Sources state that one of her relatives who was travelling along with her died in the accident on the spot.

Police officials immediately rushed to the accident spot when they received the information about the incident.

Jashodaben escaped from the crash and survived with injuries. Her body guard and driver also escaped with minor injuries.

She suffered with head injuries and was rushed immediately to a hospital. The doctors stated that her condition is stable and she is out of danger.

The reason for the accident is yet to be found out. A complaint was lodged by them to find out the cause for the accident.

Jashodaben married Narendra Modi in 1967 when he was 17 years old. But, she is not living with him as both had decided to depart amicably after three years of their marriage in which they spent three months together.

Narendra Modi used to leave the marital column empty in the nomination papers for a long time. But, for the first time he revealed his wife’s name in 2014 while filing his nomination papers as the prime ministerial candidate.

Several critics accused Narendra Modi of deserting his wife as he joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh to follow celibacy. They also said that it is a sign of his attitude towards women.
