PM to inaugurate the India Energy Week

India has been growing as a powerhouse for the past few years. To showcase its capabilities, the India Energy Week (IEW) 2023 will be held from February 6 to 8.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the event, which will be held in Bengaluru. Many business tycoons from the energy sectors, government officials, and academicians will participate in the event. It is a good platform to discuss the opportunities and challenges involved in the energy transition process.

The government is taking many initiatives to promote green energy, green farming, green fuel etc. It also allocated 35,000 crores in the 2023-24 Budget for the supply of green energy.

Apart from inaugurating the India Energy Week, PM Modi also will launch E20 fuel, i.e. petrol blended with 20 per cent ethanol. This E20 fuel will be available at 84 retail outlets in 11 states and union territories.

The government of India aims to achieve 20 per cent blending of ethanol all over the country by 2025. That means its target is to complete the process in the country by 2025. Oil marketing companies are also working to establish or ramp up the facilities in this regard.

To create awareness on green fuels among the public, PM Modi will flag off the Green Mobility Rally. Vehicles running on green energy sources will participate in the Rally.

Modi will unveil a solar and conventional energy-powered cooking system. Earlier, Indian Oil developed an innovative Indoor Solar Cooking System with a single cooktop. It got patented the system as well.

It also developed a twin-cooktop model of the Indoor Solar Cooking System to be rolled out commercially. Today, Modi will flag off the model.

The twin-cooktop model of the Indoor solar cooking system works on both solar energy and auxiliary energy sources at the same time. So it gives users more flexibility. This innovative cooking system is a revolutionary and dependable solution for users.
