Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his recent ‘Rozgar Mela’ address, applauded the pivotal role of technology in various aspects during his nine-year tenure.

These include streamlining bureaucratic processes, curbing corruption, and enhancing administrative credibility.

The event witnessed the distribution of nearly 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited government employees.

Addressing the new recruits, PM Modi commended the advancements in governance achieved through technology-driven initiatives.


He highlighted the elimination of long queues at railway booking counters and the simplification of documentation. It is done due to innovations like Aadhaar cards, digital lockers, and eKYC.

These digital initiatives, he noted, not only increased convenience for citizens but also significantly reduced corruption.

PM Modi emphasized the government’s commitment to effective, goal-oriented policies and a new mindset that prioritizes content monitoring, mission mode implementation, and mass participation.

He urged the newly appointed government employees to adopt a citizen-centric approach. In addition, he stressed the importance of leveraging technology in their roles.

He recognized that the current generation’s familiarity with technology is a valuable asset.

Looking ahead, PM Modi outlined India’s ambition to become a developed nation by 2047. Besides, he emphasized the pivotal role that every government employee will play in this journey.

He also celebrated recent legislative achievements, including the passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill, a milestone that reflects his government’s commitment to gender equality and empowerment.
