PM Modi assures Nepal
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stated on Sunday that India will do its best to “wipe the tears” of Nepal people. Calling Nepalese citizens brothers and sisters, Modi has stated that India will be there to support them in this grief.
On his monthly radio programme, Mann Ki Baat, Modi stated that people of India stand alongside of ever Nepali to help them get through the deadly earth quake. He said that the government will be providing help to all the places which were hit by the earthquake in India and Nepal. Saying that there are still some people buried under the debris who need to be rescued, Modi gave his assurance.
As part of rescue operations, the government has sent a team of experts and also sniffer dogs who are specially trained for such operations. Once the rescue operations are done, there will be relief work to help the victims. The process of rehabilitation will go on for a long time.
Modi added that he has seen such a calamity before in 2001 Gujarat earthquake and said that he knows how dreadful it is.
