Modi’s development drive in Gujarat and UP
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a significant two-day tour to Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh.
During this visit, he aims to inaugurate and lay the foundation for development projects exceeding ₹61,000 crore across these states.
Specifically, Gujarat will see projects worth over ₹48,000 crores, while Varanasi and surrounding areas in UP will benefit from initiatives totalling more than ₹13,000 crores.
In Gujarat, the journey begins in Ahmedabad with Modi marking the golden jubilee of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation.
Subsequently, he will visit Mahesana for a series of inaugurations, including ₹8,350 crore worth of development projects.
The focus in Navsari later will shift to projects amounting to approximately ₹17,500 crores.
A significant highlight includes his visit to the Kakrapar Atomic Power Station to dedicate two new reactors to the nation.
Transitioning to UP, Modi’s agenda includes attending a prize distribution at Banaras Hindu University and commemorating Sant Guru Ravidas’s 647th birth anniversary.
His Varanasi visit is particularly noteworthy, with plans to launch projects over ₹13,000 crore aimed at enhancing the city’s infrastructure in sectors like road, health, and education.
Key projects in Gujarat encompass a wide range, from high-speed internet for over 8,000-gram panchayats to significant railway and road development endeavours.
In Varanasi, efforts to boost road connectivity, industrial growth, and the textile sector are paramount.
Notably, a new National Institute of Fashion Technology and a medical college are on the agenda, promising to elevate Varanasi’s educational landscape.
Furthermore, Modi’s focus on Varanasi extends to improving sports facilities with the inauguration of the Sigra Sports Stadium and a District Rifle Shooting Range.
Additionally, the cultural heritage will be celebrated with the inauguration of a statue and development works around Sant Guru Ravidas Janmasthali, enhancing the spiritual and communal fabric of the city.
This visit underscores Modi’s commitment to propelling India’s development through strategic investments in critical sectors, promising a transformative impact on the lives of millions in Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh.
