However, Trump is the second most followed politician worldwide on Twitter with 59.8 million followers, says the study.
As per the report, PM Modi has more than 43 million followers on Facebook, nearly 47 million followers on Twitter, and over 20 million followers on Instagram.
The report says that the popularity of our PM Narendra Modi is enormous.
Yet, the number of followers does not signify unique users. That means the same person could be following the same politician on various social media platforms.
In other words, followers may not be different on various platforms. Those who follow the politician on one social media platform could be the follower of the same politician on other platforms also.
Rahul Gandhi, the Congress Party President has 12 million followers on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter as per the report.
The maximum number of active political audiences both nationally as well as globally are witnessed on Twitter and it served as the nest among all the social media platforms.
