India aims to solve border tension with China
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has given a strong and assertive response regarding the border tension with China near East Ladakh. On Sunday, the minister said that India is looking forward to resolving the border tensions with China, however, the Indian Army would not give up even a single inch of space from their country.
The minister gave this strong and firm response right after the Shastra Puja – the worship of weapons – at the Sukna based headquarters of Indian Army’s 33 corps.
The minister was also supposed to finish another puja near Sherathang. It is a high altitude area near the line of control with China in Sikkim. However, due to harsh weather conditions, he could not go there to finish it.
He said that India has always aimed to maintain peace and will resolve the border tensions with China. He expressed his great confidence in the Indian Army that they would never sacrifice even the tiniest amount of land from their home country.
The customary puja was performed by the Minister in the company of Chief of Army Staff Gen. MM Naravane and several other senior officers. Furthermore, the defence minister also inaugurated a new road in Sikkim through a video conference.
He also applauded the actions taken by the Indian Army so far. He said that their courageous actions taken near the border will be eternalized in history.
On June 15, 20 Indian soldiers were martyred during a fight with Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley in Eastern Ladakh. China has not yet disclosed its actual losses, but many officials stated that they faced heavy losses after fighting with the Indian Army. After this incident, the tensions rose to a new high between the countries. However, the Minister is confident everything will turn peaceful and well for India.
