Beware of fake CBSE website | Fusion - WeRIndia

Beware as fraudulent and fake websites are rising. Recently one fake website claiming to be of CBSE demanded registration fees from candidates who appear for the CBSE board exam.

In this context, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) has alerted people asking them to be careful of such fake websites.

In its fraud alert, PIB said that the website, cbsegovt.com, is fake. The website has no connections with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Notably, the fake website demanded a fee from class 10 and 12 students who were going to appear in board exams. While students are in their exam tension, the fake website wants to dupe them off in the guise of an authentic website.

The fake website is posing as genuine, demanding fees from students appearing for board examinations 2023.

As the fake website looks like an authentic one, many users are falling prey to it. They are ready to pay the prescribed fee demanded by it.

It has been brought to the notice of the government. Hence, PIB, the government’s nodal agency to communicate with the media, clarified that cbsegovt.com was a fake website.

It tweeted that https://cbsegovt.com was not associated with CBSE. PIB Fact Check also stated that the website of CBSE is https://www.cbse.gov.in. Students can find all information about board exams, dates, admit cards etc., on the website. So, they must visit the CBSE website to find authentic information.

Students and their parents should be careful with such fraudulent websites. PIB also confirmed that the date sheet, which is being circulated on social media, was also fake.

In this context, it said that the date sheet was not released by the CBSE. It will be released soon. Students can check the official website for the details. PIB asked people to check the authenticity of any information circulated on social media before responding to them.
