28 days paid leave to COVID positive employees in UP | Fusion - WeRIndia

The second wave of COVID-19 is trembling the country. Many states were badly impacted by it. Uttar Pradesh is one of the severely affected states by the COVID-19 second wave in the country.

While many people and their families are affected by it, the government decided to provide 28-day paid leave to affected employees. As per the Yogi Adityanath government orders, those employees who have tested COVID-19 positive can avail 28 days of paid leave.

As per the notification, any shop or company where 10 or more people are working has to demonstrate ways to prevent COVID-19 infection at the main gate. Besides, all employees who have tested positive for COVID-19 shall be given a paid leave of 28 days.

The government also announced various measures to control the transmission of COVID-19 in the state. Everyone has to wear a face mask while walking in public places. They shall at least cover their mouth with a cloth or handkerchief if they don’t have a facemask. The violators of this rule shall be levied huge fines.

The first-time offenders shall have to pay ₹1,000 as a fine. If they are caught without a mask for the second time, they will have to pay a huge fine of ₹10,000. Anyone found spitting in a public place shall have to pay a fine of ₹500.

The UP government has made amendments to the Corona Epidemic Act 2020 several times. The latest is the eighth amendment to the Act.

In addition to that, the government also decided to impose a weekend lockdown across the state. The government also decided to impose a night curfew from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. in all districts where there are more than 500 COVID-19 cases. During these hours, only essential services are permitted. Remaining all activities shall be prohibited.
