Furthermore, they can be customized in 12,000 different ways. There are many different flavors ranging from desi chai to quirky ones like aam papad chai, hair mirch chai, adrak tuli.

There will also be many other teas like lemon and ginger flavor available to the passengers. In order to make this new move successful, IRCTC has tied up with leading tea cafe chain Chaayos. Passengers can get their teas directly to their seats. In the first phase, this option will be available for all trains at New Delhi station. Later, extension will be made to Delhi and Mumbai.

Arun Kumar Manocha, chairman of IRCTC saying said that drinking tea is one of the most common things done by Indian passengers. With this new move that experience will be made much more unique and tastier.

He further added that rail passengers have more good news as IRCTC has decided to give 10 percent cash back offer on e-catering orders of more than Rs. 300. In order to avail this offer, the passengers would have to order their tea two hours before their boarding time. Ordering is simple and can be done from www.ecatering.irctc.co.in or by calling a toll-free number (1800-1034-139) to place the order.
