Homemade drinks to beat the summer heat
Keeping your body hydrated is very important in summer.
You may get bored if you drink plain water throughout the day.
So, make different varieties of drinks and fruit juices at your home to keep your body healthy and hydrated.
Here is a list of some homemade drinks to beat the summer heat:
- Juice made with musk melon and lemon is loaded with many nutrients and electrolytes. It gives you instant energy.
- Add one glass of musk melon juice to 3 teaspoons of lemon juice. Add honey to it for taste. Stir well and drink once or twice daily to keep you refreshed.
- Watermelon juice helps improve the purity of blood and relieve oxidative stress. Make watermelon juice in a blender.
- Add one teaspoon of lemon juice to one glass of watermelon juice. Add ice cubes and drink to keep you hydrated.
- Cucumber juice provides the essential nutrients to the body and improves your metabolism.
- Slice cucumber and make it juice in a blender. Add water if required. Then strain the juice into a glass. You can add a few drops of lemon to it. Add black salt and ice cubes to the juice and drink to keep you rejuvenated.
- Lemon and ginger juice provides relief from the summer heat. It improves your metabolism and also immunity.
- Squeeze juice from one or two lemons in a glass. Add 2 teaspoons of grated ginger and salt. You can add honey if you want. Add one cup of water and stir well. Garnish it with fresh mint leaves and consume it to keep you invigorated.

- Buttermilk, jaljeera (cumin seed water), cucumber and orange juice are some other homemade drinks to beat the summer heat.
