  • Lima beans consist of dietary fibre, mainly the insoluble fibre which acts as a laxative. Hence, they help reduce constipation. They also regulate bowel movements.
  • Loaded with significant amounts of magnesium, potassium, folate etc., lima beans improve cardiovascular health. The fibre in these beans reduces cholesterol levels in the blood and controls blood pressure. Folate content in them lowers the risk of thickening of artery walls.
