DIY Natural Shampoo Recipes
Hair fall, premature greying, dry hair and split ends are the most common hair problems in recent days. Increasing pollution, lack of nutrients in the diet, and usage of chemical-based shampoos are some reasons for this.
In the past, only a few people used shampoos, while a majority of people used reetha (soapnuts) for head wash. But, over the years the usage of shampoos has been increased. Many experts warn that chemical-based shampoos damage your hair. Hence, use natural ingredients for healthy hair.
Here are some natural shampoo recipes for your hair. These homemade shampoos protect your hair from harmful chemicals. Besides, they are less expensive than shampoos available in the market and more effective.
Take 25 grams each of soapnuts, dried shikakai, and dried gooseberry and make a fine powder after deseeding them. Keep the powder ready for your hair wash. Before washing your hair, add two teaspoons of aloe vera and a few hibiscus leaves to the powder you are using for hair wash. Mix thoroughly by adding some water to make a paste. Use this paste to clean your hair and wash it.
Alternatively, you can soak all the above ingredients in water overnight. The next day, boil them for a few minutes and cool them. Crush them with your hands and strain. Use the solution to wash your hair.
Take one cup of soapnut solution. Add 1 tablespoon of almond oil, 3 tablespoons of aloe vera gel, and 1 vitamin E capsule to it. Mix thoroughly and apply this mixture to your hair to clean it. Then wash your hair.
Take one cup besan or gram flour in a bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of almond powder, 2 vitamin E capsules, and 1 teaspoon olive oil to make a thick paste. Apply this paste onto your hair and allow it to dry. Then wash it off.
Steep green tea bags in a cup of hot water for 10 to 15 minutes and allow it to cool. Then add some reetha powder to this water and wash your hair with this mixture.
