IPPB offers doorstep banking services
India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) offers Doorstep Banking (DSB) services to all citizens in India.
You need not visit the branch but can avail the service from your home and perform regular banking transactions.
Customers need to pay ₹20 plus GST to avail doorstep service per visit if they reside beyond 1km from the Post Office. There is no limit on the number of transactions during a DSB visit for one customer.
However, if another person wants to utilize the service, he/she needs to pay an additional ₹20 since it is treated as another transaction.
In addition to DSB charges, IPPB charges an applicable amount for an individual product or service as per the schedule of charges.
India Post has a wide network of post offices and employees. It offers various banking services like opening a bank account, depositing and withdrawing cash, transferring funds, payment of utility bills, recharge payments etc.
It also offers various services under Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AePS): You can opt for cash withdrawal, mini statement and balance enquiry.
Its third-party services include life insurance, general insurance and mutual funds.
Besides, you can also get the following services: You can update your mobile number on your Aadhaar card. Pensioners and senior citizens can get Jeevan Pramaan or Life Certificate digitally. You can also make payment for various post office schemes like Sukanya Samriddhi, PPF, RD and many other such schemes.
If you want to utilize these services, call their Call Centre on 155299. Also, Ad-hoc requests can be placed through Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) or Postmen or Post Office.
While the minimum number of days is two, the maximum number of days is 10 to raise a request. Users can also pick a time slot for delivery of service between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the scheduled date.
