Home Loan rates in Various Banks

Now it is the festive season and many banks provide various offers to their customers.

Many people seek home loans to afford to buy a home on this festive season.

It is quite good to know about the interest rates of various banks before opting for a home loans.

Interest rates mainly depend on the amount of loan and the period for which the loan is taken.


Here is a glimpse of different interest rates offered by various banks.  All these rates are as per the bank websites by the end of third week of September.

State Bank of India: The largest commercial bank in India, SBI provides loans at the following rates. 10.10% for women borrowers and 10.15% for the remaining borrowers if loan amount is below or equal to Rs. 75 lacs, and 10.25% for women borrowers and 10.30% for the remaining borrowers if loan amount is above Rs. 75 lacs.

The interest rates are 10.20% and 10.45% for the loan amount up to Rs. 75 lacs and above Rs. 75 lacs respectively for all borrowers.

Indian Bank, Axis Bank, Dena Bank, Corporation Bank and Central Bank of India offer home loans at 10.25% and 10.50% for the loan amount up to Rs. 75 lacs and above Rs. 75 lacs respectively.

Bank of Baroda, IDBI Bank and Oriental Bank of Commerce offer home loans at 10.25%. But, the interest rate of OBC is 10.75% if the loan amount exceeds Rs. 75 lacs and up to Rs. 3 Crore.

Interest rates of State Bank of Hyderabad and Punjab Sind Bank are 10.50% if the home loan amount is up to Rs. 30 lacs and the rate is 10.75% if the loan amount exceeds Rs. 30 lacs.

Punjab Sind Bank charges 11% if loan amount is above Rs. 75 lacs.

Interest rates of Bank of India is 10.20% for the loan amount up to Rs. 75 lacs and 10.45% if the loan amount is above Rs. 75 lacs.

The rate of interest is 10.25% for the loan amount up to Rs. 3 Crore and 10.50% for the loan amount above Rs. 3 Crore to Rs. 5 Crore by Allahabad Bank.

Union Bank of India offers loans at 10.50% if the loan amount is up to Rs. 25 lacs, 10.55% if the loan amount is above Rs. 25 lacs and up to Rs. 75 lacs and 10.80% if the loan amount exceeds Rs. 75 lacs up to Rs. 1 and half a Crore.
