E-visa boosts India tourism
With the government putting stress on boosting inbound tourism and introducing electronic visa facility (e-Visa) for one hundred fifty countries, India is quickly changing a favorite for many foreign travelers, according to a recent study.
The e-Visa theme is currently applicable to seventy seven nations, the e-Visa theme has further made it possible for the visitors of India to travel even easily, travel Search Company Skyscanner said in a study.
The call to incorporate tourism at the centre of its manifesto has signalled a new dawn for India’s tourism sector.
The e-Visa facility to seventy seven countries has been introduced, this has been made to make it possible for easier travel to India as visa became convenient. This move has increased traveler arrivals from round the world, Skyscanner India Senior promoting Manager Kavitha Gnanamurthy said.
She added, with the government’s pro-tourism initiatives, India has witnessed a growth of 9.2 percent in arriving travel from January to May this year.
The United Kingdom tops the list of travelers heading to India this summer as it has an increase of fifty seven percent year-on-year, followed by the United States that witnessed a hundred and fifteen per cent Y-o-Y surge. Australians too don’t seem to be so much behind and have recorded near 111 percent rise.
