Short film Competition on Swacch Bharat

If you are interested in making short films and are looking to showcase your skills, then here is an ideal platform. The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting is organizing a Short Films Competition on the theme “Swachh Bharat” to showcase the motivating stories. The competition is aimed at creating awareness in public about sanitation and issues related to public health.

If your entry wins, you will be announced in a special felicitation programme which will be in New Delhi on October 2, 2016.

The entries are invited for the Short Films Competition by the public by National Film Development Corporation of India. You can submit your entries on or before September 10, 2016.

Swacch Bharat is one of the prestigious programmes of the government to promote cleanliness and is started to create awareness on hygiene and sanitation among citizens of the country. The programme was initiated two years ago on October 2, 2014. Many public figures are working as brand ambassadors for this programme.

The competition is aimed at creating such awareness. Hence, people of different ages from all over the country with different backgrounds are encouraged to participate in it.

If you want to participate in the competition, then here are more details. The competition is open to all people irrespective of their age, place etc. But, the central theme of the film should be related to Swachh Bharat Mission.

You can make your film in any of the official languages of India. For instance if you want to make the film in Hindi, you can do so or make it in English based on your choice. The total duration of the short film should be under 3 minutes. The film should be shot in HD format. Entries with given specifications only will be considered for the competition.

Rs.10 lakh cash prize will be awarded for the best film. There are three second prizes each worth Rs.5 lakh and six third prizes of Rs.2 lakh. If you are interested to participate in the competition visit the website www.nfdcindia.com.
