IRCTC’s new lucky draw scheme | Fusion - WeRIndia

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) introduced ‘Monthly lucky draw scheme’ for its users.

Passengers who book the tickets through BHIM/UPI can get a chance to travel for free under this scheme.

The new scheme which was started on October 1, 2017 will continue for 6 months. Each month there will be a computerized random lucky draw process in which five lucky users will be selected and full train fare will be refunded back.

Certain terms and conditions are there for this lucky draw scheme. Customers or passengers should have to book e-ticket on IRCTC Rail e-ticketing website using BHIM or UPI Payment options only.

They should travel or begin their journey after booking e-ticket in the calendar month of specific lucky draw scheme.

Those who have cancelled their tickets are not eligible for this scheme. TDR filed PNRs are also not eligible for this scheme.

One customer is eligible for only one prize in any single month. In other words, only one PNR of the user will be considered for the lucky draw in the calendar month even if the PNR of same user gets selected for more than once for that lucky draw scheme.

However, the lucky winner can get the prize in the subsequent months i.e. he or she will be eligible for the lucky draw in the following months.

The winners will be refunded full ticket fare and the amount will be transferred in the same payment mode which was used while booking the e-ticket.

Five computerized randomly picked lucky PNRs are selected each month for the Lucky Draw Prize.

Winners will be informed by IRCTC on their registered email ID and mobile number. Their names will also be displayed on IRCTC website in the second week of the following month after verification of user details.
