EXCON 2015 in Bangalore | Fusion - WeRIndia

The 8th International Construction Equipment and Construction Technology Trade Fair is going to be held in Bangalore from November 25 to November 29, 2015. The timings are 10:30 am to 6:00 pm.

The event is being organized by Confederation of India Industry (CII). CII is one of the premiere industry Associations of India. The main highlights of the Trade Fair is as follows: The Fair is approved by UFI. It is the largest construction equipment exhibition in South Asia. The display area for the exhibition is 2,20,000 square meters. 850 exhibitors are participating in this Fair. Out of them 275 are coming from abroad. Various countries are joining in this event. These include China, South Korea, Germany, Italy and Sweden.

More than 32,000 business visitors are participating in this Trade Fair. Over 200 products are going to be launched. The Fair provides opportunity to B2B meetings and international buying delegations.

The main aim of the Trade Fair is to boost the investment in infrastructure. Investments in infrastructure is vital to the constant growth of India. Hence, it lies behind every policy initiative of the government. As per the estimation of Planning Commission, the expenditure in the infrastructure of India will be around US $ 1 Trillion from 2012 to 2017 for the period of 12th Plan. The total infrastructure expenditure for the period of 11th Plan is around US$ 428 billion between 2007 and 2012. It indicates that the investment in this sector is estimated to be doubled. These investments improve the growth of construction equipment industry.

To increase exports several steps have been taken by the government of India. Many Special Economic Zones have been approved to the capital goods industry as part of SOPs. These are considered a part of construction equipment. These stimulate the growth of exports. In this context, the Trade Fair is also being held to promote the growth of infrastructure investment.
