DRDO announces job openings for JRF and RA positions | Fusion - WeRIndia

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has issued a call for applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Research Associate (RA) positions in Pune and Visakhapatnam.

This recruitment drive presents a total of 12 opportunities for JRF and one vacancy for an RA in Pune, along with seven JRF openings in Visakhapatnam.

Applicants must not surpass the age of 28 to be eligible for these positions.

The appointed candidates will serve for an initial two-year period, which could be extended as per the applicable regulations.

To qualify for the JRF position, candidates are required to hold a BE or BTech degree in various fields. Some of them are electronics, electronics and communication, applied electronics, or related disciplines. For full details visit the website.

Applicants should have achieved a first division with NET/GATE qualification.

Or they can possess an MSc, ME, or MTech degree in the mentioned subjects.

It’s also possible for candidates to have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in diverse fields like aeronautical engineering and computer sciences.

For the RA role, candidates must have completed a PhD in electronics engineering. Or they should hold an ME/MTech degree with a minimum of three years of research and development experience in a recognized institution.

Even candidates who have submitted their PhD theses are eligible to apply for the RA position.

Shortlisted applicants will undergo an interview as part of the selection process, with the interview test scheduled for December 1, 2023, in Pune.

Additionally, for JRF positions in Visakhapatnam, walk-in interviews will be conducted at NSTL, Visakhapatnam, on November 21 and December 23, 2023.

Selected candidates will receive a competitive monthly salary, with Junior Research Fellows earning ₹37,000 and Research Associates receiving ₹67,000.
