The AIF Clinton Fellowship is currently open. It is available to Indian Citizens, U.S. Citizens, and U.S. Permanent Residents only.

Those who want to apply must be in the age group of 21 and 34 on September 1, 2019. They should have finished their under graduation before the start of the program i.e. September 1, 2019.

Fellows can work in the areas of education, livelihoods, or public health.

They will receive a living stipend and health insurance coverage for the duration of their volunteer service in India.


In addition to that, Fellows receive travelling expenses to and from a Fellow’s point of origin to the host organization and travelling to Orientation, Midpoint, Thematic, and Endpoint conferences in India.

The applicants should have fluency in English. It is an added advantage if they can speak the local languages.

Fellows are eligible to receive language training in a local language.

Selection process consists of several stage screening tests like application screening and an in-person interview in addition to competitive matching process for short-listed candidates.

The applicant’s skills and knowledge can be tested using a series of short essay questions.

The applicants should have to submit two references.

The Fellows are expected to have the following requirements:

  • They should meet the expectations of the Fellowship.
  • They should participate at Orientation and other program related events.
  • They must adhere to the policies and agreements between Fellow, AIP and its partner organization.
  • They should complete the Fellowship program by submitting the monthly as well as quarterly reports on time.
  • They should regularly contribute to the AIF blog.
  • They must settle all the financial and logistical items through the Fellowship.
  • They must also complete the end service documents and presentations.

The last date to apply for AIF William Clinton Fellowship is January 31, 2019.
