11th Metropolis World Congress in Hyderabad | Fusion - WeRIndia

11th Metropolis World Congress in Hyderabad is to be organized at HICC – Hyderabad International Convention Center from October 7 to October 10, 2014.  Around 1400 attendees including several stakeholders, mayors, decision makers, practitioners of the cities from all over the world are to participate in this conference and share their experiences on urbanization.

Metropolis provides several opportunities for international cooperation and framework for the exchange of technical skills to develop the relationships between member of major cities and their partners. It conducts a major international congress every three years on metropolitan issues. In 2011 its “Cities in Transition” was held in Porto Alegre. Now Metropolis 2014 “Cities for All” is to be held in Hyderabad. Pranab Mukherjee- the President of India, Abdul Kalam – former President and Scientist, K. Chandrasekhar  Rao – Chief Minister of Telanga state and K. Tarakarama Rao – Minister of IT & Panchayat raj of Telangana State are some of the important speakers in this conference.
