Pet registration is mandatory in the country, yet due to the lack of proper enforcement of laws, many people do not focus on it.  Even many pet owners are not aware of the laws associated with pet registration. Though some people know the laws, they ignore registration due to negligence or some other reason.

Last year, the Haryana government made pet registration mandatory across the state. Now, Noida authorities also made pet registration mandatory.

The deadline for pet registration was given till January 31. The authorities mandated pet registration, vaccination and sterilization by the end of January.

However, many pet owners did not come forward for the registration of their pets. So, the authorities decided to extend the deadline to February 15. They also decided to impose a penalty on those who failed to finish the registration by the extended deadline.

In addition, they would like to conduct special camps to promote awareness among citizens in this regard.

There will be an empanelment of three doctors who provide vaccines to pets. The registration fee is ₹500. Free anti-rabies vaccines will also be provided to pets.

Pet owners have to download the Noida Authority Pet Registration Application (NAPR) from the Google PlayStore. They have to sign up by entering their name, mobile number, and OTP.

After that, they have to click on the new registration option and fill in all required details like a pet name, breed, age, sex etc., and upload photos and all required documents.

The registration process will be finished with the payment. Various payment options, like debit cards, UPI etc., are there. Make the payment after agreeing to the terms and conditions specified there.

As per revised guidelines, owners must get their pets sterilized by the end of January. Or else they will be levied a fine of ₹2,000 per month.

Also, they will be held responsible for the attacks of their pets and injuries caused by them to other people. In such instances, they will have to pay a fine of ₹10,000.
