Kiran Bedi gives advice to children
This is the time for summer vacation for most students. Kiran Bedi has given the following advice for students.
She addressed the students congregated at the event. She shared a particular good practice that her mother used to make her follow-through her summer holiday.
Before revealing the practice, she asked the students why she personally did well in her academics and why she was the only student who answered a lot of questions in the class even though she missed many classes due to her interest in tennis matches.
Many students had different answers for that question until one boy gave the right answer. When asked how he knew, he stated that his mother ensures the same.
Bedi said that her mother used to buy books for the next class and made sure that she got enough time for studies as well as play. She used to read school books with curiosity and that helped her gain knowledge. She said the idea is to know your books in advance.
The children accepted the idea with cheer.
She stated she personally benefitted by using time better and listening to her parents.
She gave the message that right practices with the right guidance and respect from children will give benefits to the future.
