TS police create COP – Connect for info sharing
In the Informational Era, people are able to communicate with one another more quickly than ever before, thanks to the internet.
Often, this is used for casual or personal purposes, such as connecting with friends or family.
However, the Telangana police are now using online communication for professional purposes.
They have now developed a dedicated messaging app called COP-Connect. COP-Connect is made in the mold of WhatsApp.
However, there is a distinct difference between COP-Connect and Facebook’s messaging app.
Unlike WhatsApp, COP-Connect does not have a limit on the number of members that can be in a group.
This allows for a lot more flexibility in how many Telangana cops can communicate with each other in different situations.
Officials can log into COP-Connect to communicate about patrol duty or instances of crime.
The app is aimed at helping officials share information with each other in a quick and effective manner.
Not only does COP-Connect allow officers to communicate with each other through text, but it also allows them to communicate through images and videos.
For example, officers can send the image of a stolen car in Ram Kothi in Hyderabad.
They could also capture the video of a fleeing perpetrator in Warangal. This can be used to immediately alert officers in other vicinities of the situation.
Officials can also make different groups in COP-Connect, so that they can organize their information sharing.
Officers ranking from constables to commissioners are present in some groups.
Officials say that COP-Connect will be incredibly useful to all officers and police persons moving at the field level.
It will help them deal with cases of missing persons, burglaries, thefts, and dacoities. COP-Connect represents transparency in officers’ operations.
The app can also be used to distribute training modules and detailed content among police personnel.
With COP-Connect, Telangana officers can do their police duties much more efficiently, thanks to the instant communication provided by the app.
