Signs similar to menopause
Normally, certain signs are specific to some diseases or health conditions. But, some signs are very common in many conditions. At that time, you may confused one health problem as another one.
For instance, there are certain signs to indicate menopause. These are common signs which may indicate some other health condition and sometimes lead to serious ill effects as well. Here are certain signs which are similar to menopause but might not always indicate the same.
Menopause normally occurs in middle aged women. Normal signs of menopause are heavy bleeding, mood swings, hot flashes, joint pain, anxiety, urge to urinate frequently, focus issues and fatigue. So, when these symptoms or signs appear in middle aged women they might mistake them as the signs of menopause and ignore them since they are normal in such condition.
However, these signs may appear in some other serious health conditions too. So, beware of these symptoms and check with your physician whether these are really associated with menopause or you are suffering with some other health condition.
Heavy bleeding is one of the major symptoms often confused with menopause. But, it may be a sign of uterine fibroids or uterine cancer as well.
Hot flashes are another common sign of menopause which occurs due to hormonal changes. Yet, it may be a sign of hyperthyroidism.
Fast heart beat or palpitation is a sign of menopause. But it could be a symptom of serious cardiovascular disease too.
Mood swings are common with menopause which may be symptoms of serious mental conditions like depression.
Hair fall is another symptom which may be a sign of thyroid problem and weight changes.
Though joint pains are common in menopause, they could be symptoms of arthritis, fibromyalgia, lupus etc.
Vaginal dryness and irritation are signs of menopause. However, they may be a symptom of sexually transmitted diseases too.
