SSC JE 2025 notification out for 1,340 Vacancies
Engineering diploma holders eyeing a government job have a new opportunity.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for the Junior Engineer (JE) Examination 2025, inviting applications for 1,340 vacancies across Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical engineering disciplines.
The application process began on 30 June 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official SSC website.
The last date to submit the application form is 21 July 2025. Applicants are advised to register early to avoid last-minute technical issues.
To be eligible for SSC JE 2025, candidates must hold a diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution.
The age limit varies depending on the post. For most departments, the upper age limit is 30 years as of 1 January 2026.
However, for vacancies under the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), the upper age limit is 32 years. Category-wise age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.
The 1340 vacancies are distributed among several government organisations and are open to candidates from all three engineering streams.
Applicants are encouraged to check the detailed notification for department-wise vacancy details.
The selection process includes three stages. The first is Paper 1, which is a computer-based examination.
This is followed by Paper 2, a descriptive paper. Candidates who qualify for both exams will be called for document verification.
The application fee for candidates belonging to the General and unreserved categories is ₹100.
However, women candidates, ex-servicemen, and those belonging to SC, ST, and other reserved categories are exempt from paying the fee.
To apply, candidates must visit the official SSC website, complete the registration, fill in the application form, upload required documents, pay the applicable fee, and submit the form. It is important to save a copy of the application for future use.
Before applying, candidates should thoroughly read the official notification to ensure they meet all eligibility criteria.
