Haripriya, a mother of two, was inspired to start Extrokids after struggling to find toys that entertained and educated her children.

This need became more pressing after the birth of her second child in 2017.

Recognizing a shared challenge among new parents, she began her entrepreneurial journey from her Coimbatore home.

Initially, she sold pre-loved toys and books but quickly transitioned to focusing on educational toys that promote motor skills and cognitive growth.

Balancing parenting with business was no small feat for Haripriya.

Despite the hurdles, she gradually expanded her collection to over 500 toys, catering to various age groups and developmental needs.

Her persistence paid off as Extrokids delivered to more than five lakh customers from various parts of the country.

A pivotal moment came when Haripriya posted a demonstration video featuring her mother showcasing one of the toys.

The video received over 60,000 views, significantly boosting the brand’s visibility and credibility.

Today, Extrokids offers toys priced from ₹49 to ₹8,000, providing affordable options for every budget.

Haripriya’s venture now earns her around ₹3 lakhs monthly, underscoring the potential of small-scale startups in India.

The story of Extrokids exemplifies how determination, innovation, and understanding of customer needs can transform a simple idea into a flourishing business.

Extrokids is not just about toys; it’s about creating a meaningful learning experience for children. At the same time, the startup also empowers parents to reduce screen time and engage their kids in productive play.
