Air India fined ₹30 lakh over tragic passenger incident
In a sobering response to a grievous oversight, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has levied a ₹30 lakh fine on Air India. This action comes after an 80-year-old passenger tragically collapsed and passed away following a distressing ordeal of having to walk from the plane to the terminal without the assistance of a wheelchair, an incident that unfolded on February 12 at Mumbai airport.
