Nagula Chinna Gangaram from Telangana is affectionately known as Chinni Krishnudu.

At the age of 70, he continues to play a vital role in raising awareness about India’s agricultural heritage and knowledge systems.

Gangaram resides in Gopanpally within the bounds of Nizamabad Municipal Corporation. He has transformed his land into a captivating depiction that incorporates a Shiva Lingam, the Om symbol, the Soma sutra Pradakshinam etc.

The design, masterminded by artist J Mahadev, was created using five distinct types of paddy seeds.

Hailing from Chinthaluru in Jakranpally Mandal, Gangaram has fostered a deep connection with his agricultural roots.

In Gopanpally, he meticulously cultivated the artistry that now adorns his fields. Many officials lauded his efforts. They say it is a tribute to the essence of Indian agriculture.

Gangaram’s journey into field art began years ago when he artfully depicted his parents’ images in his agricultural lands in Chintaluru. This imaginative endeavour earned him international recognition and laid the foundation for his broader mission.

With dedication and vision, Gangaram has promoted multiple facets of farming within his community.

His advocacy spans paddy cultivation techniques and organic farming practices. In addition, it also supports broader values encompassing humanity, social responsibility, spirituality, and patriotism.

Recently, Gangaram actively shared his insights at an agricultural exhibition organized by the agricultural department.

He detailed various methods of paddy cultivation there. The response from the farming community was overwhelmingly positive, illustrating the impact of his efforts.

Expressing his gratitude, Gangaram highlighted the meticulous work of artist Mahadev.

Using over 4,000 sticks and strategically planted paddy saplings, Mahadev brilliantly executed Gangaram’s visionary design.

The artist has also undertaken similar projects. He plotted designs featuring prominent personalities from Nizamabad and beyond.

Gangaram’s journey from showcasing his parents’ images to illustrating the intricacies of paddy cultivation mirrors his commitment to both art and agriculture.

Through his ingenious fusion of creativity and farming, he seeks to disseminate knowledge about India’s rich agricultural practices not just within his community but to a global audience.
