Second Grade Student is the World’s Youngest Student to be enrolled in a University
A second grade student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Vigyan Vihar, Delhi, Divya Prakash Pandey has the title of being the youngest university student ever admitted in any university. He is also the youngest student to receive the testimonial of the university.
At a young age of 6 and half years, Divya was enrolled under the School of Engineering & Technology of Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. He was enrolled in the Craft & Design Programme (CCDP).
The student Divya Prakash Pandey, has had an interest in Craft & Design (pottery) since his childhood. Divya has managed to combine Craft & Design with Magic throughout his studies. He has managed to create the famous magic trick ‘Water of India’. This trick has become a wonder in the field of crafts.
He has also created various patterns and came up with several innovative ideas in Craft & Design. Divya is the youngest recipient of the University Degree.
Before entering the university, the child has taken interest in clay work by learning clay designing over summer vacations at Bal Bhawan in Delhi. Divya considers the Craft & Designing course at IGNOU as an activity through which he could learn while playing.
