Meet the world’s youngest online coding teacher
While many people struggle to grasp basic computer coding concepts, this 12-year-old girl mastered coding.
Anushka Kolla from Chennai is studying in a high school. This Class VIII student is a computer coding teacher for other students. She has been teaching coding to students aged between eight and 15 years for the last two years.
Her parents KP Sabarish and KS Renuka say that Anushka has been passionate about computer coding since childhood. Her interest made her excel in the field. But, Anushka did not satisfy with that. She wanted to teach coding skills to other children as well.
Anushka says that coding is one of the important skills for acquiring digital literacy. That’s why she started teaching coding to other students online two years ago for free. She used the pandemic time productively and started teaching students in classes II to X.
She taught more than 500 students. International Book of Records awarded her the title of the world’s youngest online coding teacher.
She aims to provide technical knowledge to other children as well. That’s why she teaches other children. She conducts online classes for one hour every week to make children familiar with basic concepts to advanced coding skills.
She teaches on three levels. Basic concepts are taught at the first level. Children learn app development at the second level and advanced concepts and professional approaches at the third level. Many students learn coding from her.
Anushka is a brilliant student. She excels in her academics as well. In addition, she is good at Carnatic music. She plays the guitar also. As a book lover, she reads many books and updates her knowledge.
She received many awards. One of them is the Mahatma Gandhi darshan award by Anandshri Foundation. She also has been conferred with an honorary doctorate by Nalanda University, USA.
