Mumbai girl makes diabetic-friendly sweets
Diabetes is a chronic condition. There are two types of diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is a condition in which insulin is not produced. Type 2 diabetes is a lifestyle disorder where the body of sufferers doesn’t respond to insulin.
Type 2 is the most common form of diabetes.
Yet, Type 1, is a deadly disease. This is also known as juvenile diabetes. It is an autoimmune disease which attacks the children mainly.
People with this diabetes should consider the glycemic index of the food products before eating as their sugar levels fluctuate heavily.
Since the pancreas of people in Type 1 doesn’t produce insulin, it should be injected at equal intervals.
All diabetics should avoid sweets despite their love for them.
This Mumbai girl came up with a solution for this problem.
Sarrah Kapasi’s father was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in his early twenties.
Despite taking several steps to control his diabetes, his health condition has never been normal.
His metabolism rate was equal to that of 60-year-old person when he was 35.
He visited first-world countries to learn health tips for the improvement of Type 1 diabetics’ health.
Then, his health was improved. Now he is 50 and his metabolic age is 35.
Sarrah could never see her father enjoying sweets due to his health condition. Furthermore, several existing sugar-free products in the market have artificial sweeteners and chemical which further damage the health condition of diabetics.
Considering all these things, Sarrah launched D-Alive on this Diwali for diabetics. D- Alive products are gluten free and made with natural sweeteners. Moreover, they are home-made with organic ingredients. Hence, they won’t damage diabetics’ health.
Some of their sweets include Roasted Peanut Laddu, Maai Ka Laddu, Cashew Pistachio Praline etc. These are made with dry fruits, nuts, stevia, watermelon seeds and edible gum.
These organic sweets are priced between ₹499 and ₹599.
Their sweets are packaged with a special technique, Modified Atmosphere Packaging to increase their shelf-life.
