In the midst of Gujarat’s vibrant Navratri festivities, tragedy struck as 22-year-old Amit succumbed to a sudden cardiac incident during Garba celebrations.

This sombre event echoed a broader crisis in the state, with a staggering 2,853 sudden cardiac deaths reported the previous year.

Responding to this alarming situation, Dr. Yogesh Gupta and entrepreneur Fahm Tirmizi founded the Gift Hand Foundation.

To combat heart attacks by imparting free heart attack awareness and CPR skills across Gujarat.

The foundation’s impact has reached over 7,000 children, 2,000 educators, and countless others, becoming a crusade to save lives.

Dr. Yogesh Gupta, a seasoned physician, and Fahm Tirmizi, a visionary entrepreneur, launched the foundation in January 2023.

Gupta, with an illustrious medical career spanning two decades, has not only served as a consultant physician but also contributed significantly as a speaker, writer, and influencer.

Tirmizi, at 25, expressed the foundation’s commitment to providing free hands-on training in chest compression-only life support to various groups.

Recognizing the urgency of their mission, Gift Hand Foundation garnered support from over 70 healthcare experts within just 10 days of establishment.

The foundation’s three-pronged strategy includes partnerships with schools, collaborations with medical associations like the Ahmedabad Medical Association, and training media personnel to reach a wider audience.

In an era dominated by digital communication, the foundation initiated hands-on training sessions in schools, involving students, teachers, and security personnel.

Collaborating with the Red Cross Society, Gujarat, they trained over 2,000 students from both government and private schools.

During cultural events like the Garba festival, Gift Hand Foundation ensured the safety of revellers by providing CPR training, instilling confidence and reducing the risk of cardiac emergencies.

As Gujarat battles cardiac health challenges, Gift Hand Foundation stands out as a beacon of hope, bridging gaps in awareness and education to create a safer, more informed community.
