Revolutionizing legal services: Shreya Sharma’s Rest The Case
At only 25, Shreya Neeraj Sharma is redefining access to legal services in India through her innovative platform, Rest The Case (RTC).
Launched from a small room in Pune in 2021 with an initial investment of ₹4.5 lakh, RTC has swiftly grown to a ₹1.5 crore venture, proving the power of digital transformation in traditional sectors.
Shreya’s vision was clear: to simplify the process of finding a reliable lawyer for the common man.
RTC offers a user-friendly online service that connects individuals with about 1500 verified lawyers across India.
This platform stands out by allowing clients to join for free, offering them access to a wide range of legal templates, and the option for online consultations via video or audio.
Moreover, RTC provides invaluable resources like legal guides, Bare Acts, and the latest legal news, making it a comprehensive tool for legal assistance.
The journey of RTC from a concept to a successful business is a testament to Shreya’s determination and hard work. Initially, the challenge was to convince experienced lawyers to join the platform.
Shreya personally met with lawyers in Pune, her starting point, gradually expanding to major cities after proving the platform’s efficacy in bringing more clients to the lawyers.
RTC’s business model is straightforward yet effective. Lawyers can choose from yearly packages ranging from ₹60,000 to ₹1.20 lakh, which determines the number of leads they receive.
This system not only ensures that lawyers get visibility based on their expertise and location but also allows them to manage the financial aspect through EMIs.
The platform primarily handles divorce cases and property disputes, with a significant increase in demand during the COVID period.
Shreya’s hands-on approach as CEO has seen RTC assist around 2500 clients since its inception, with the platform receiving 200 to 250 leads a week.
Shreya credits her family’s entrepreneurial background for her business acumen, emphasizing the values of hard work and humility she learned from an early age.
Today, Rest The Case is not just a business but it is a mission to make legal services accessible and straightforward for everyone across India.
