Here are some other startups:
Okinawa is a Gurugram based startup. It was founded by Jeetender Sharma and Rupali Sharma. The startup has a manufacturing facility in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. It is planning to establish its second facility.
Its first cruiser-styled electric scooter has been exhibited at the Auto Expo 2020. It aims to offer lithium-ion powered scooters at an affordable price.
The startup received FAME II certification for the I-Praise and Ridge+. The startup generated a revenue of ₹200 crores in the financial year 2018-19. It is aimed to sell over one lakh electric two-wheelers by the end of the current financial year.
Tork Motors is a Pune-based startup. Its first product had unveiled in September 2016. It is the first electric motorcycle in the county. The company was founded by Kapil Shelke. The company received funding from the Co-founders of Ola, Co-founder and CEO of CoCubes and Ratan Tata, the Chairman of Tata Group.
Tork Motors is in the last of testing at present. However, it is not confirmed officially. The company has a capacity of 20,000 units per annum. It has a production facility in Pune.
Revolt Intellicorp was founded by Rahul Sharma, the Co-founder of Micromax with an investment of ₹500 crores. It announced its venture into the field of electric motorcycles.
The startup brought monthly instalment plans on electric motorcycles. The RV 400 and RV 300 are available in monthly instalments in Delhi and Pune. The monthly instalment starts from ₹2,999.
Revolt’s motorcycles have good features including LED lighting, digital display, Bluetooth connectivity etc. Real-time bike diagnosis feature is also available.
Revolt is working on a café-racer styled motorcycle. It has a manufacturing facility in Manesar with a production capacity of 1.2 lakh units per annum.
