According to the Union human resource development ministry, each IIT has to adopt certain villages to help the government in designing a model for the development of villages. The scheme will be launched by the ministry next month.
Under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, the teachers and students of each IIT will visit the villages to identify their problems and make solutions. The solutions are implemented with the cooperation of industries using technologies.
