Know about Aero India 2017
Aero India, one of the most popular air shows and aviation exhibitions of India started on Tuesday. It is being held in Bengaluru and is attracting many top firms both from India and all over the world.
The show is very popular among aviation enthusiasts for the new tech it shows off. Many visit it just to get a glimpse of the air show.
The show is organized by Defence Research and Development Organization. This year marks the 11th edition of the show.
According to official notes, it is expected that 2 lakh business visitors will attend the show. An area of 2,60,000 sq. m is dedicated for the hosting of it.
Aero India will have a heavy focus on the Make in India initiative. This has encouraged a lot of indigenous innovations.
279 firms from across the world and 270 Indian firms are participating in the show. There are many deals that are being signed to encourage Prime Minister Modi’s Make in India initiative.
Companies like Boeing Co and Airbus are also making deals with Indian government.
Representatives of various countries all over the world are coming to see India’s power in Aero India.
Exhibitors from countries like United States, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Singapore, UAE, Australia, Spain, South Korea, Canada etc. are visiting for stronger ties.
NETRA, an Embraer 145 with Indigenous Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) will be given to the Indian Air Force.
In the show, the esteemed Surya Kiran team performed. They are experts in aerobatics demonstration. The team has been formed by Indian Air Force in 1996. Their show in Aero India marked their 500th performance.
Many Indian innovations in the sector will be exhibited by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). Many of their products have built a lot of hype and are main attractions at Aero India 2017. Their mock-up of India’s first indigenous multi-role helicopter making its debut is considered the most hyped attraction of the show.
