Divine grace in Vrindavan: Maa Vaishno Devi Dham
Vrindavan, a sacred city known for Lord Krishna, now houses another divine marvel, Maa Vaishno Devi Dham.
Built for devotees unable to travel to Jammu, this temple brings the goddess’s blessings closer to all.
Founded by Shri J.C. Chaudhry and managed by Jai’s Trust, the temple was completed in May 2010.
It spreads across 12 acres on Chhattikara Road and offers a spiritually rich environment.
The key attraction is the grand 141-feet-tall statue of Maa Vaishno Devi, visible even from the national highway.
Dressed in a red saree and adorned with jewellery, the goddess sits on a lion. A towering statue of Lord Hanuman kneels beside her, seeking her grace.
The temple mirrors the original Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu. It features artificial hills, caves, and lush greenery.
Inside the cave, devotees can see idols of all nine forms of the goddess, each beautifully crafted.
Besides darshan, the dham offers various facilities. These include a Devi Mandir, a cave shrine, a meditation hall, a yoga space, a dining area, and a free dispensary.
There’s also a guesthouse, a spiritual hall, and a library for learning and peace.
The temple welcomes visitors daily. It opens in the morning from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm and again in the evening from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The story behind this temple reflects deep devotion. Maa Vaishno Devi is believed to be a blend of Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasarasvati.
She descended to defeat evil forces and protect righteousness. While the main shrine remains in Katra, Jammu, this Vrindavan Dham helps bridge the distance.
Today, Maa Vaishno Devi Dham stands as a symbol of faith and unity. It invites pilgrims from across India, offering a space for prayer, peace, and spiritual growth, all without the long journey north.
Entry is free, and the trust continues to serve devotees with dedication. Whether you seek divine blessings or peace of mind, this dham is a must-visit in Vrindavan.
