In order to commemorate the policemen who were killed by Chinese troops in 1959 in Ladakh’s Hot Spring area, October 21 is dedicated to pay homage to them.

In this context, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the renovated national police memorial in Delhi on the coming Sunday.

Few years ago, a large stone inscribed in a raised platform has been erected at the memorial. It has been renovated and its main structure has been improved.

This Memorial includes a museum that was built of these forces. The museum will be the first national police museum.

The museum emerges in the premises of the national police memorial as an underground facility. It portrays the history, articles, uniform and other articles of central and state police forces.

Both the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and the central armed police forces (CAPFs) jointly handled the museum project.

Officials stated that wide arrangements have been made for this event. There are several workers from police forces and police units that have been killed in the line of duty. All their families have been invited for the ceremonial.

Central armed police forces (CAPFs), central security agencies and state police units in addition to the Home Minister Rajnath Singh and two Ministers of State will be attending this event at Delhi.

The Central Reserve Police Force Chief said that the main sacrifice was made by the personnel of the CRPF in the courageous fight with the Chinese PLA.

Motivated by the sacrifice, several policemen and officers throughout the country sacrificed their lives to save the unity and integrity of the country.

As per the latest data released, more than 34,000 police have been killed in action till date in the country.
