To commemorate 75 years of the formation of NCC, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a coin in the denomination of ₹75 on Saturday.
In this context, a rally was held at the Cariappa Ground in Delhi. Many officers and NCC cadets from foreign nations also participated in the rally.
PM Modi released specially minted coins of ₹75 to celebrate the occasion. After that, he addressed the participants. PM appreciated the contribution of NCC to nation-building. He expressed his happiness as the number of girls has been increasing in the police as well as paramilitary personnel for the last few years.
He said that the number doubled in the last eight years. It indicates that the contribution of women in the armed forces has increased over the years. Youth and women are majorly benefitting from the reforms in the country’s defence sector.
Not only the reforms in the defence sector but various revolutions like the startup revolution, digital revolution etc., also benefitted youth. PM said that Yuva Shakti is the driving force behind the development of India.
