Public can visit Rashtrapathi Bhavan five days a week soon
Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi is one of the popular tourist places. This 330-acre estate has many tourist attractions. The building has 340 rooms extended over five acres. It has 190 acres of garden area.
Due to COVID-19, visits to Rashtrapati Bhavan were restricted to two days a week. In 2017, people were allowed to visit the Rashtrapathi Bhavan four days a week, Thursday to Sunday, from 9 am to 4 pm. But later, due to the pandemic, the entry of the public was restricted.
Now, it is decided to allow the public to visit Rashtrapathi Bhavan five days a week. As per reports, people can visit the official residence of the President of India for five days a week, starting from December 1.
All weekdays, except Mondays and Tuesdays, people will be allowed to Rashtrapati Bhavan from December 1. People will not be allowed to visit on gazetted holidays as well.
There will be five-time slots, each with one hour, from 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm.
Those who want to visit Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum Complex are allowed six days a week. They can visit on all weekdays, except on Mondays. However, gazetted holidays are excluded. People will not be allowed to visit during these days.
In addition, people can also view the Change of Guard ceremony at the residence of the President of India forecourt in the morning every Saturday, except on gazetted holidays. Timings are 8 am to 9 am.
Except for children under the age of eight years, all individuals need to pay a registration fee. The registration fee is ₹50 to visit the Rashtrapathi Bhavan. People can make a request through the official website and book tickets seven days in advance. A group of 30 people can book tickets for ₹1,200 per visit.
