PM Modi launches ₹12,200 crore development projects in Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled multiple transformative projects worth over ₹12,200 crore in Delhi today, boosting regional connectivity and infrastructure.

These initiatives aim to enhance transportation, healthcare, and connectivity for millions across various regions. These include Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.

A major milestone was when PM Modi inaugurated the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor.

The 13-km stretch, running between Sahibabad and New Ashok Nagar, was completed at a cost of ₹4,600 crore.

This marks Delhi’s first-ever Namo Bharat connectivity, enabling safer, faster, and more reliable travel.

Residents commuting between Delhi and Meerut will benefit from high-speed and comfortable transit, revolutionizing daily commutes.

The Prime Minister also inaugurated the 2.8-km Janakpuri to Krishna Park section. It is the first operational stretch of Delhi Metro Phase-IV. Its worth is around ₹1,200 crore.

This new line will ease travel in West Delhi, benefiting areas like Krishna Park, Vikaspuri, and Janakpuri.

Further extending the city’s metro network, PM Modi laid the foundation for the 26.5-km Rithala-Kundli section of Phase-IV.

This project, valued at ₹6,230 crore, will connect Rithala in Delhi to Nathupur in Haryana. Thus, it intends to improve access to key regions such as Rohini, Bawana, Narela, and Kundli.

Once completed, it will integrate Delhi’s metro with Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, enhancing transit across three states.

The Prime Minister also launched the foundation for a state-of-the-art building for the Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) in Rohini.

The facility, costing ₹185 crore, will feature an Administrative Block, OPD and IPD facilities, and a Treatment Block.

This modern infrastructure will bolster healthcare services, providing comprehensive care and research opportunities in Ayurveda.

These ambitious projects reflect the government’s commitment to transforming regional infrastructure.

With improved transportation and healthcare facilities, residents across Delhi and neighbouring states can look forward to enhanced connectivity and quality of life.
