PM gets a clean chit for Mission Shakti - Fusion - WeRIndia

As the CPI(M) filed a complaint against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for addressing the nation about the operation of Mission Shakti, the Election Commission ordered for a probe.clean chit of EC stated that the PM did not violate the code of conduct

Yesterday, the EC took a call on the probe report submitted by a panel of four members and said that Narendra Modi did not violate the model code of conduct.

The EC in this context said that the PM neither mentioned about his party nor appealed for a vote in his favour while addressing the nation.

So, it is not a violation of election code in any manner.

Earlier this week, Opposition parties claimed that the PM violated the election code by announcing the success of Mission Shakti.

They alleged that while the announcement should have come from authorities of the DRDO, the PM had given the announcement.

They also claimed that PM had not informed about this to the Election Commission while addressing the nation nor did he seek the permission for such an address.

So, the EC has to reveal why it had given permission to the PM to announce the great achievement of the scientists by him, they added.

They also appealed for the reason as the entire country wanted to know it, but not just the opposition.

Hence, they demanded action against the PM for violating the election code.

However, the probe report of the panel and clean chit of EC stated that the PM did not violate the code of conduct, so there is no need to take any action against him.
