Passengers have to bear travel cost on Vande Bharat flights | Fusion - WeRIndia

The Civil Ministry issued new guidelines for the travel in international flights under Vande Bharat Mission and Air Transport Bubble flights.

Air Transport Bubble flights are temporary arrangements made to restart commercial passenger services after the suspension of regular flights between countries.

As per the guidelines, passengers have to bear the travel cost on these flights.

So far, over 11 lakh Indians stranded abroad have been repatriated under the Mission.

All travellers have to undergo thermal screening and only asymptomatic passengers are allowed to board flights.

The Home Ministry may change the category of eligible people to travel from time to time and it will be displayed on the website of Civil Aviation Ministry.

The schedule of the incoming flights or ships will be displayed on the website before two days of schedule departure. Passengers will have to check it.

Eligible people can apply to civil aviation or their designated agency.

The ministry permits the eligible people on non-scheduled commercial flights and travel shall be as per the permission.

All passengers should have to follow the norms like wearing face masks and follow hand hygiene.

Those who want to travel under the Vande Bharat Mission should register with Indian Missions in other countries.

However, Air Transport Bubble flights do not require registration. They will travel as per the permission of the government.

Travelling on these flights is at the own risk of the passengers and they have to give an undertaking for this.

Passengers arriving through land borders shall have to follow the same protocol.

They have to follow other protocols also, issued by the Health Ministry regarding home quarantine and other such things.
