Passengers travelling through Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport can now avail themselves of the convenient ‘DigiYatra’ facility without the need to download a mobile application.

The initiative, launched at Terminal-3 of the airport, enables passengers to utilize the facility through a simple three-step registration process, as announced by Delhi International Airport Limited.

The registration process involves passengers scanning their boarding pass and their face, and presenting an identification proof to the security personnel stationed near the registration desk.

Once successfully registered, passengers can enjoy a seamless travel experience within the terminal. It includes the security check area and boarding gates as well.

Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, CEO of Delhi International Airport Limited, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative. He said that the latest initiative would ensure passengers utilize DigiYatra and travel seamlessly.

As there is no need to download the app, even those less familiar with technology can also use it with ease.

DigiYatra was initially launched on December 1, 2022. It has since facilitated faster mobility of passengers to boarding gates and hassle-free travel.

Besides, it enhanced security measures and dedicated gates. All these are available to passengers completely contactless.

This technology-driven approach saves passengers at least 15-25 minutes of valuable time.

Presently, the DigiYatra facility has been extended to all departure gates of Terminal 3 and Terminal 2 at the IGI Airport.

This new offering by Delhi International Airport Limited complements the existing DigiYatra mobile application, which enables travellers to register themselves on their handheld mobile devices. Thus, it ensures uninterrupted and hassle-free travel throughout the airport.

With this latest development, Delhi’s IGI Airport is paving the way for contactless and efficient travel experiences, streamlining processes, and enhancing passenger convenience.

The DigiYatra initiative aims to make air travel more accessible, user-friendly, and time-efficient, ensuring a smooth journey for all passengers.
